Pay Range: $45hr - $50hr Requirement/Must Have: Expertise in automotive product development and design. Proficiency with 3DX and CATIA V5. Knowledge of automotive closures including liftgates, rear quarter panels, 2nd row doors. Experience in designing seats (structures, mechanisms, foam, trim). Strong background in body structure design (sheet metal). Familiarity with design of taillamps, rear wipers, rear fascia, backlights, and wheel lip moldings. Experience: Previous roles in automotive design engineering. Full lifecycle involvement from design concept to part release. Interface and assembly feasibility assessments. Industrialization feasibility and alignment with manufacturing processes. Ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and timeline objectives. Responsibilities and Duties: Develop technical CAD designs for automotive components and systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product requirements and integration. Support the development and release of new seat systems and closures. Assess and optimize interface, assembly, and industrialization feasibility. Ensure alignment with schedule, cost targets, and engineering best practices. Contribute to issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives. Should Have: Ability to balance technical depth with cross-functional collaboration. Strong understanding of product design workflows and release processes. Problem-solving skills and detail-oriented mindset. Skills: 3DX, CATIA V5. Automotive interior and exterior component design. Sheet metal and plastic part design. CAD modeling and digital mock-up (DMU). Quality and cost optimization. Qualification and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline (preferred).
