The Law Offices of Juliet Cohen, P.C. is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney with a passion for Estate Planning and Elder Law to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in trusts, wills, probate, Medicaid planning, and guardianship matters, and be committed to providing compassionate, high-quality legal services to individuals and families throughout New York.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients during some of life's most important planning stages, while also gaining experience in legal strategy, client counseling, and courtroom advocacy.

*Duties*

* Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and probate petitions * Represent clients in Surrogate's Court and guardianship proceedings * Advise clients on estate and long-term care planning strategies tailored to their individual needs * Manage case files and deadlines with strong attention to detail * Communicate regularly and empathetically with clients regarding their legal matters * Stay current with developments in Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Medicaid rules through continuing education

*Qualifications*

* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school * Admitted to practice law in New York State * 1-3 years of experience in Estate Planning, Trusts & Estates, or Elder Law preferred * Experience with Surrogate's Court filings, Medicaid applications, or guardianship matters is a plus * Strong legal research and writing skills; proficiency in MS Office * Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational abilities * A client-centered mindset with the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
