Description
ESC has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Planner to support our premier client, a fast-paced, data-driven group committed to optimizing inventory across global operations. This role is essential to ensuring accurate, efficient purchasing processes and cross-functional execution at scale.
We are seeking an Associate Planner with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate has experience in planning or buying, thrives in collaborative settings, and enjoys working with data and systems to drive measurable impact. This position starts as a 9-month contract with potential for extension, working onsite from Seattle, WA or Sunnyvale, CA . The role pays around $27-29.50/hr based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Analysis Monitor SKU-level performance and inventory positions to assess purchasing needs and identify replenishment opportunities. Purchase Order Execution Manage all aspects of inbound shipments, including purchase order tracking, vendor communication, fill rate monitoring, and issue resolution. Data Accuracy & Reporting Ensure accurate data entry and system integrity to support reliable tools, dashboards, and operational processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with planning, buying, operations, and vendor teams to maintain smooth supply chain operations and meet service level agreements (SLAs). Process Optimization Use Excel and other business tools to identify process gaps, troubleshoot vendor issues, and streamline order execution. Basic Qualifications: 1+ year of relevant experience as an Associate Planner or Associate Buyer Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business software tools Exceptional organization and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-starter who is flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (experience prioritized over education) 2-3 years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or program/project management Familiarity with vendor management systems and order tracking platforms Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive accountability
