This team moves fast and successful candidates must demonstrate experience operating independently in an evolving environment. Candidates should excel at developing relationships with various teams across the company, including Corporate Development, Integration, Finance, Human Resources and other cross-functional teams. This is a full-time position.Associate General Counsel, Corporate M&A Responsibilities:Lead domestic and international M&A transactions, joint ventures, strategic investments and other complex corporate transaction matters and initiativesDraft, negotiate and review transaction documentation, provide advice on deal structuring and strategy, and conduct and support due diligenceProvide strategic advice to the business and Corporate Development on a broad range of transactional mattersPartner collaboratively with Corporate Development, Integration and other cross-functional teams, and manage cross-functional legal experts, to execute transactions and integrate targetsCoordinate and manage domestic and international outside counselSupport and manage internal corporate initiatives and policiesMinimum Qualifications:J.D. degree or foreign equivalentActive membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experienceDemonstrate business judgment and client counseling skillsEffective communication skillsCorporate legal experience on M&A transactions and strategic investmentsPreferred Qualifications:12+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experienceTransactional experience with an emphasis on M&A, investments, joint ventures, complex strategic initiatives and other corporate transactionsIn-house experienceCross-border and international experienceOrganizational experience and strategic thinking, and experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environmentKnowledge in a broad range of legal subjects impacting corporate transactions (e.g., tax, intellectual property, privacy and employment)About Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
