This is your opportunity to elevate your career with a firm that values excellence and provides a platform for growth and development Role Responsibilities: Case Management: Assist partners with managing insurance, personal injury, premises, insurance broker E&O, municipal, and coverage defense practices. Litigation: Defend case files from inception through trial, including handling depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and attending court hearings both in-person and via Zoom. Client Interaction: Prepare detailed status and trial strategy reports for clients, conduct examinations under oath, and author coverage opinions. Discovery and Research: Manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, production requests, and requests to admit. Draft and prosecute declaratory judgment actions on insurance coverage and defend against contractual and extracontractual coverage actions. Ideal Candidate: Legal Qualifications: Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois bar. Experience in Illinois state and federal courts, including the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Skills and Experience: Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proactive in seeking guidance, with strong research and analytical abilities. Deposition and meaningful litigation experience preferred. What We Offer: Competitive Compensation: Associate attorney eligible total compensation ranges from $115,000 to $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience, with the potential for annual performance-based raises and discretionary bonuses.
