We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to lead our financial operations in the Mortgage industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. Job Details

Responsibilities:

* Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. * Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. * Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. * Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. * Research technical accounting issues for compliance. * Support month-end and year-end close process. * Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. * Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. * Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. * Manage and direct the company's asset management strategy. * Lead and direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. * Drive efficiency and cost-saving initiatives within the financial department.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience. * Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. * CPA or CFA certification is required. * Proven working experience as a Financial controller in the Mortgage industry. * Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. * Experience with creating financial statements. * Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. * Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and lead a team. * Strong analytical skills and experience creating and presenting financial reports. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. * Experience with financial planning and strategy, managing profitability, strategic planning, quality management, promoting process improvement, forecasting, corporate finance, and developing budgets. * Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. * Strong knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, including the use of financial software applications, databases,
