Aptar is seeking an Assembly Technician (3rd Shift) based in Cary, IL. This position is fully onsite. This role is responsible for the total production process through the finished goods stage as well as for product safety and the quality of goods produced.
Shift Hours: 12:20am - 8:30am, Monday - Friday
As an Assembly Technician You Will:
Monitor multiple high speed automated production machines to insure quality production standards are achieved
Verify correctness of components from shop order to component number, to prevent mixed or wrong parts
Perform quality checks visually and using various inspection gauges
Perform testing of assembled product to insure product meets performance requirements
Fill machine hoppers for multiple machines
Perform rework at machine and sort machine scrap
Perform recordkeeping duties using various production forms and a PC
Load tubing onto or into machinery and threads tubing into machine where necessary
Perform traceability and lot control functions utilizing a hand held scanner
Perform and meet the requirements of BRC/GMP/ISO in all job activities
Who We Are Looking For
Must be able to work as a member of a team, have a high energy level and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Education
HS Diploma or GED
Required Skills
Must be able to stand 40% and walk 60% of the shift
Must be able to lift/move up to approximately 25 pounds (10% of shift) and reach above shoulder 5% of shift
Must be able to scoop component parts weighing approximately 1 pound on a continuous basis
Must have the ability to grasp or thread tubing
Must be able to bend and push (20% of shift) cartons of product weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift (every 10-15 minutes)
Must have good vision in order to perform visual inspection duties
Must be able to hear warning signals and verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process
Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues
Must be able to discern shades of color and color differences relating to component parts used in the manufacturing process
Must be able to climb steps and read various inspection gauges
Must possess basic math and PC

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the starting salary for this role is $18.50 (plus $1.50/hour shift differential).
