Overview of the Position:

The Software Engineer I will participate with team members to improve business processes through new (modern) software, maintain and enhance existing software, and evaluate third-party applications/tools as required by end users, departments & business units. This position will perform program design, coding, system integration, development and execution of test plans, documentation and change management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate with End Users/Business Leader to gather business requirements Develop new software programs and enhance/change existing software to meet business requirements and project requests. Troubleshoot and research software and data as requested by our business. Apply Agile/SCRUM principles. Participate in aligning custom business software with company growth strategies, market trends, acquisitions, etc. Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Some programming experience through training, school or work. Some SQL and database experience Preferred EDI ANSI X12 or ATA Spec2000 Preferred experience with .NET, PHP, Perl, Java, J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML Preferred experience with Low Code / Rapid Develop / Workflow platforms (OutSystems, Appian, TeamCenter, Enovia, AWS HoneyCode, Builder.ai) Preferred experience with Infor and M3 ERP systems Preferred experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Education / Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's/Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent with 2 years software development experience.
