Job Overview: The Annual Giving Officer, under the supervision of the Director of Development, plays a key role in administering and implementing annual giving programs. This position involves developing, overseeing, and evaluating specific campaign areas, as well as researching, engaging, and soliciting prospective donors, including alumni, parents, and friends of Misericordia. The officer will also monitor and analyze communication strategies, such as mailings to constituents, to enhance donor engagement and support. This role is vital for building relationships and securing financial contributions to ensure the sustainability of the university’s programs and initiatives. Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field, preferably in higher education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Related Duties: Attend university events and represent the advancement team to foster a culture of philanthropy within the university community. Uphold and promote the Mission and Philosophy of the University and the Sisters of Mercy. Preserve honesty and integrity in the professional affairs of the University; adhere to high standards of ethical practices and conduct. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, marketing, nonprofit management). (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered.)
