Title:
Coordinator of Elementary Special Education
Employee Qualifications:
* Connecticut certification as an Intermediate Administrator. * Master's Degree and/or Connecticut certification in Special Education or a Related Service Area (i.e. School Psychology, Social Work or Speech and Language Pathology) * Minimum of three years' experience teaching students with disabilities, working in a related service area as noted above, and/or serving as an administrator of special education programming at the elementary or secondary levels * Extensive knowledge of psycho-educational assessment, the Planning and Placement Team process, and special education programs and procedures. * Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills * An ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. * Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.
