STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Mechanics in Perryville, Missouri to support general to complex maintenance work on a wide range of corporate aircraft. This is a hands-on role for a licensed A&P mechanic who is quality-driven, safety-minded, and ready to take on diverse repair tasks and inspections. Key Responsibilities:
Perform general and advanced maintenance tasks on aircraft systems and structures
Remove, install, and repair panels, components, and sheet metal structures
Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble engines, hydraulics, and structural components
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic equipment
Conduct engine and system testing and listen for malfunctions to identify issues
Use technical manuals, drawings, and specifications to determine repair methods
Replace or rebuild components including wings, fuselage, rigging, and units
Adjust, align, and calibrate systems using appropriate tools and test gauges
Remove and install engines using hoists or forklifts
Maintain and repair shop tools, equipment, and work areas as needed
Work independently or train junior technicians as required
Adhere to FAA regulations and company safety policies at all times
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Associate degree in Aviation Technology preferred
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is required
At least 1 year of experience in corporate or military aircraft maintenance
Experience with aviation maintenance software (Corridor preferred)
Basic computer proficiency
Must be quality-driven and safety-focused
Valid driver’s license required; passport preferred
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with FAA-mandated drug and alcohol program
Regular attendance required with flexibility for overtime and shift changes
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, bend, squat, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods
Routine use of arms and hands for repetitive manual work
Work in a hangar environment exposed to extreme temperatures
