The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking an Administrative Trainee in the Programs and Services Unit. This position will be primarily accountable for the management and program development of residential and community-based contracts including adult, juvenile, and family criminal programs.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the community-based programming for youth and adults.
Examples of duties
Program auditing for contract compliance and delivering technical assistance
Report writing
Data review
Deliver trainings
Review and approve contracted program budgets
Request For Proposal (RFP) development
The preferred candidate will possess:
Knowledge of monitoring practices and procedures, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) strategies
Knowledge of evidence-based practices and risk reduction principles
Knowledge of contractual budgets and services
Ability to manage projects
Ability to communicate accurately and effectively in written and verbal form
Proficient technical skills in MS Office applications
A valid motor vehicle operator’s license for required business-use travel statewide via the candidate’s own car, or a State-owned car if available. This position requires a significant amount of statewide travel.
Salary Range: $66,558 - $85,778/year – plus State of Connecticut benefits.
New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : A Bachelors or a Masters degree.
Note: Incumbents with a Masters degree may be hired at step 2 of the pay group.
APPOINTMENT: Appointment to positions in this class shall be for a period not to exceed twenty-four months.
