Adjunct Instructor for Exercise Science/Exercise Physiology

Position Summary Job Description: The Department of Health Professions is seeking to hire a qualified adjunct faculty candidate to teach one course in the Fall Term with the potential for additional coursework in the Spring Term. Adjunct faculty are expected to instruct students in a classroom setting, providing support and guidance, and evaluating the completion of learning outcomes.
Outcome: Teach EXS325/326 Exercise Physiology with Lab Essential Functions Plan educational sessions (lectures, experiential learning, in-class assignments, etc.) for each week based on course objectives Design assessments (quizzes, exams, projects, papers, etc.) to measure student learning based on course objectives Attends class weekly, adhering to the college calendar for the semester Evaluates and provides feedback to students in a timely manner Keeps the department chair informed of all issues and concerns. Meets deadlines for submitting grades and other required documentation for the course/program/department Experience and Education Required Masters degree required Prior teaching experience at the college level is preferred Required Skills and Qualifications Qualifications include the ability to communicate with students. Must also be able to apply supervisory skills, motivate students, be personable and professional, have patience with and understanding of students, and be able to learn and apply new concepts and ideas. The candidate must be able to work with Canvas LMS or be willing to learn before the start of the semester.
