Menu HR Home Employment Opportunities Employee Resources Student Employment Trinity Institute Advanced Technical Center (ATC) Ward 8 Psychology Adjunct Faculty for Fall 2025 Salary: $1,375 per credit (4 credits) Trinity Washington University is seeking a dynamic educator to teach a section of Term 1 Introductory Psychology course and a Term 2 Medical Terminology course within the Healthcare program for the new Advanced Technical Center (ATC) in Ward 8, a high school dual enrollment program in the College of Arts & Sciences for Fall Semester 2025. The adjunct instructor will teach these sections at the ATCs Whitman Walker Max Robinson Center: 1201 Sycamore Dr, SE WDC 20032. The Fall Semester Term 1 ATC classes start on August 19, 2025 and the Term 2 classes on October 14, 2025. This role would include additional compensation commensurate with the additional teaching hours at a rate of $1,375 per credit. The course section time block is as follows: SectionTimeDaysATC212:15 1:35 PMMTWTHF For Fall Semester 2025 , candidates would teach one section each of the 3-credit PSYC 101: Introductory Psychology course and the 1-credit HPNU 120: Medical Terminology course: Term 1 PSYC 101: MTWTHF Term 2 HPNU 120: MTWTHF The Advanced Technical Center is a partnership with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) to provide DC high school students with the opportunity to complete dual enrollment pathways in Career and Technical Education and earn industry recognized credentials for entry-level career opportunities as a Clinical Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician. QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Masters degree in Psychology from an accredited institution and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. Previous undergraduate or high school teaching experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching dual enrollment students, and who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices. Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of the best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited for an interview and teaching demonstration.
