Specific Responsibilities The Accountant II role for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s accounting organization and reporting to the Marketing Accounting Manager. This role will primarily be responsible for the following:
Perform Marketing Accounting functions related to Apache’s domestic oil and gas properties.
Actualize oil, gas, and ngl volumes marketed by Apache in the Endur system for the purpose of integrating pricing and deduct data to the Revenue department.
Perform Settlements functions including invoicing, interface with counterparties, and ensure timely payment for gas, oil and ngl sales and purchases.
Responsible for payment of transportation and cashout invoices for assigned pipelines and plants.
Responsible for Accounts Receivable and other Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
Performs work with a high degree of latitude and the ability to appropriately prioritize assigned tasks.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet critical monthly deadlines.
Will interface and facilitate communication with multiple groups both internal and external to Apache Corporation.
Qualifications & Experience The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting; other business degree will be considered when combined with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours.
3-5 years of professional accounting or auditing experience in the oil and gas industry.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.
Knowledge and experience in SAP and Endur a plus.
Able to work well in a team setting with consistent and professional interactions and approachability with team members.
Possesses strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, administrative, and organizational abilities.
