As a Level I Novice Registered Nurse, you will be stepping into your new career after graduating from an accredited nursing program. This entry-level position is designed for those without prior clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, offering you the opportunity to develop and master essential nursing practices within your first year here at Mary Washington Healthcare. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and coordinate comprehensive nursing care, overseeing both licensed and unlicensed personnel while utilizing the nursing process and teamwork to ensure positive patient outcomes. Engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team to foster effective communication and collaboration during patient care, including teaching and discharge planning. Actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance patient care services. Support leadership in achieving high standards of excellence in patient care. Participate in daily operations and contribute to maintaining a safe and effective patient/staff environment. Provide insightful input to Nurse Management regarding unit needs and enhancements. Be involved in committees aimed at shaping nursing and hospital policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned to support the care team and patients. Qualifications: Recent graduate from an accredited nursing program, with no prior experience as a Registered Nurse. Possession of a valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state is required. A BSN degree is preferred. AHA BLS Provider CPR certification is required at hire. AHA ACLS Provider certification must be obtained within the first 90 days. AHA PALS Provider certification is also needed within the first 90 days.
